Very often digestive imbalance may be the true culprit in many behavior and attitude issues we see every day. Even other physical health conditions may have a root cause in the digestive tract.

It’s true, the ingredient listing on a container of SUCCEED® looks fairly simple — oat oil, oat flour, irradiated dried yeast and amino acids. But there’s more to SUCCEED® than the textbook feed terms.
The magic of SUCCEED® is inside those ingredients. For example, oat flour and oat oil in SUCCEED® are produced from special tiger oats, grown and harvested in Sweden. This flour and oil are produced in careful — and more expensive — processes that retain important components, often lost in traditional processing. And the yeast products include two different forms of yeast that provide specific functions in SUCCEED®.
Here’s an overview of the key ingredients in SUCCEED®:
- Oat Oil — contains polar lipids, vegetable fat molecules with water soluble and fat soluble ends. Polar lipids strengthen the tight junctions between enterocytes and increase nutrient absorption up to five times.
- Oat Flour — contains Beta glucan, a soluble polysaccharide. Beta glucan is a powerful stimulant to the immune system, and helps normalize the feed transit rate through the GI tract.
- Irradiated Dried Yeast — consists of two forms of Mannan oligosaccharides (MOS), a complex sugar from the yeast strain saccharomyces cerivisea. The yeast also includes nucleotides, which are minute building block components of DNA. MOS helps maintain the balance of digestive microbes by binding pathogens, so they can be safely excreted from the body. Nucleotides in yeast support cell reproduction, needed for building tissue and healing. Nucleotides are also shown to enhance the growth of enterocytes.
- Glutamine — an amino acid that provides fuel to muscles, and helps strengthen and lengthen intestinal villi.
- Threonine — an essential amino acid that supports the production of mucin, a necessary component of mucus that lubricates and protects the GI tract lining.

Yes. Because the ingredients in SUCCEED® are all natural and tested for safety, you can provide it to pregnant mares and foals following the use instructions on the label. In fact, our research shows benefits of using SUCCEED on pregnant mares, as well as weanlings and yearlings.
Q: What if my horse isn’t eating right?
There are many reasons that horses may not eat properly. You should consult with your veterinarian.
Q: Is SUCCEED® for performance horses only?
No. Although SUCCEED® was formulated for the special needs of performance horses, every horse is the same on the inside. Q: Does it matter what time of day I give my horses SUCCEED®?
No. It is best to give your horse SUCCEED® immediately before feeding or with feed. It does not matter with which meal you provide SUCCEED®, but it would be best to provide it with the same meal every day.
Q: Can I give a horse SUCCEED® on the day of an event?

Q: How long do I need to use SUCCEED® on my horse?

Should your horse get twice the recommended amount of SUCCEED® in one day, your horse will be fine. Q: Do I use a full serving of SUCCEED® with a pony?
SUCCEED® has been formulated for a typical 1200 lb adult horse. A full 27 gram serving of SUCCEED® is not going to harm a smaller horse.

Q: Is this a probiotic?
No. Probiotics, or direct-fed microbials, deliver two lactic-acid producing microbials to the digestive system, to encourage normal gut microflora. SUCCEED® provides a nutrient source for the horse’s existing microbial population.
Q: Is SUCCEED® intended for colicky horses?
If your horse has a serious health condition like colic, consult your veterinarian.
Q: If SUCCEED® is so good, and grain is so bad, can I stop giving my horse feed and just give him SUCCEED® three times a day?
